“Ring around the roses…
Pockets full of poses…”
“Ashes ashes
We all fall down”

The girls stopped moving, stopped rasping. Their mouths grew slack, their grips loosening on both the boy and the hyperventilating Budew. Every head cocked, listening to the blonde’s high, lilting voice.

“Save your roses for now
death still finds you somehow
Ashes ashes
The soul burns down…”

The girls took slow steps towards Eileen, whose smile never wavered as her voice echoed in the confines of the room—coupled with haunting words that her smile couldn't mask.

“Gather all the roses
Take them while their souls live
Blood and ashes
New life pours out.”

I really, REALLY wanted to draw something pretty. I have a ton of keybies to do as usual and holiday Cafe art but dammit this concept has been sitting for so long I wanted it done--after I finally worked out some mechanics.

Like how one, the yellow rose is made of glass. That's why it's translucent. That'd be because its holders (Eileen and her brother Isaac) aren't real.

The song Eileen's singing is a well-known rhyme with some original lyrics chucked in.

The rasping girls are inspired by an image on dA I can't remember for the life of me. It was several white little girls with no eyes on a dark field dotted with roses.
